You will learn
Learn the billing structure for email plans, where to see your plan, and how to change your plan in Klaviyo.
The billing structure is based on two criteria:
- The number of contacts in your account
- The number of emails (campaign and flow) you send during the month
Note that email and SMS are billed separately in Klaviyo. For information on SMS billing, head to How Klaviyo Bills Customers for SMS.
Review Your Billing Plan
You can see your current plan, a summary of your usage, and any plan limits by following these steps:
- Click the account dropdown in the upper right-hand corner of your screen
- Select Account
You will arrive at the Account Overview page, which displays information about your billing plan.
Note that by "emails sent this billing cycle," this includes all Received Email events, which covers both campaigns and flow emails.
Upgrading your plan
If you need to send to more contacts or want to view other available plans, click Upgrade Plan.
Alternatively, you can select the Billing dropdown and choose Email.
On the Email Plans page, you will be able to select a plan to accommodate for the amount of profiles in your account. When you find the plan that best suits your needs, select Change. Your account will update accordingly. Note that the prices outlined in our plans section do not include sales tax.
Downgrading your plan
If you decide to downgrade your plan, this will not be immediate, but will instead take effect for your next billing cycle. You will finish out your current month's email plan before your plan changes. Thus, we do not refund downgrades, as stated in our Terms of Service.
Including your tax ID on invoices
If you would like your tax ID included on invoices, you can update this manually. Navigate to your Billing Preferences page and add this under Tax ID (Optional). All future invoices will then include this information. For more information, head to How to Find and Update Your Tax ID in Klaviyo.
Email credit card details
Klaviyo does not support multiple credit cards in a single account. If you also use Klaviyo for SMS and either add to your balance or set automatic refills with a different card than the one in your account, this will charge the credit card on file. If your payment ever fails, the account owner will be alerted via email.
For details on how to change the credit card on file, check out our article on how to update your credit card information. To see invoices and other details regarding your recent charges, select Billing > Payment History.
