Learn about how Klaviyo notifies you about significant changes in your account. Notifications may be delivered in 1 of 2 formats:

  1. Email updates
  2. In-app notifications

These notifications may relate to various topics, including:

  • New feature releases
  • Errors with integrations
  • Failed payments
  • General account updates or alerts
Email updates

Email updates

The account Owner may receive email alerts from Klaviyo regarding important updates or account alerts.

To ensure you receive these notifications, maintain accurate contact information and regularly check your inbox.

The main categories of email updates (with examples) are as follows:

  • Deliverability
Alerts you about a high bounce rate or a cancelled campaign.
  • Billing
Sent when you reach 95% of your account sending limit (in a free plan), or if a payment fails. Note that the account Owner or Admin can update who receives billing notifications.
  • Integrations
Provides updates when you successfully integrate your website or when an integration fails.
  • Lists & segments
Informs you when a list import is successful.
  • Conversations
Notifies you when a subscriber texts your SMS sending number without using a keyword.
In-app notifications

In-app notifications

In-app notifications offer important information about your account, including:

  • Platform updates
  • Access to Benchmarks report downloads
  • Account updates

If you have access to multiple Klaviyo accounts, note that in-app notifications are not specific to the account you are currently logged into and can pertain to any one of your accounts.

Accessing in-app notifications

All unread notifications are represented by a number above the bell icon at the top of your Klaviyo account. Click the bell icon to see a list of all unread messages, with the most recent listed first.

The displayed number can show up to 99 unread messages. Any additional unread messages are still captured in the notifications list, but do not increase the displayed count.

    • How to adjust your account settings or other account information
    • How to fix a specific error
    • More information on a recent feature release
  4. After viewing a notification, the unread count decreases, its text unbolds, and the status circle disappears.
  5. Click Dismiss or the back arrow to return to the full list.

How to mark all messages as read

How to mark all messages as read

If you want to mark all messages as read at once to dismiss all notifications:

When you receive an in-app notification, it's important to read and take any necessary actions for it. You should only mark all messages as read if you have understood each notification and its related details, as they may involve actions crucial for your account's success.

  1. Click the bell icon to open your notifications list.
  2. Select Mark all as read.
