Use include and exclude audiences to control exactly who sees Customer Hub. You can show Hub only to a list or segment, such as your loyalty members, or hide it from shoppers who shouldn't see it. These controls apply across your whole site.

How include and exclude work

  • Include – Customer Hub is shown only to shoppers in the list or segment you choose. Everyone else doesn't see Hub.
  • Exclude – Customer Hub is hidden from shoppers in the list or segment you choose. Everyone else sees Hub as normal.
  • Include and exclude together – You can use both. If a shopper matches both, exclude wins and they don't see Hub.

Note: Lists and segments are made up of known profiles, so Klaviyo can only apply them to shoppers it has identified. When you use an include list, visitors Klaviyo can't match to a profile don't see Hub. Include and exclude only take effect while Customer Hub is set to Live.

Before you begin

  • Customer Hub is set up and set to Live.
  • The list or segment you want to use already exists in Klaviyo.

Choose who sees Customer Hub

  1. Go to Customer Hub > Design > Edit your Hub.
  2. Open Visibility controls.
  3. To show Hub only to a specific audience, add a list or segment to your include audience.
  4. To hide Hub from a specific audience, add a list or segment to your exclude audience.
  5. Save your changes. When Customer Hub is live, saved changes apply to your storefront immediately.

Ways to use include and exclude

  • Roll out to loyalty members first. Include a loyalty segment to give your best customers an elevated onsite experience and measure how they engage.
  • Keep Hub away from certain shoppers. Exclude a segment, such as employees or customers you serve through a separate account experience.

Frequently asked questions

A shopper just joined my segment. Why don't they see Customer Hub?

Segment membership updates aren't instant. A shopper who recently joined or left a list or segment might not see a change right away.

Does this change which content blocks a shopper sees inside Hub?

No. Include and exclude control whether Customer Hub appears at all. To change what appears inside Hub for different shoppers, use targeting on your content blocks.

Can I show Customer Hub on only certain pages?

Not with these controls. Include and exclude apply across your whole site, not to individual pages.
