Translate List Pages into Different Languages

Overview

The first step in creating email content that is relevant to recipients is ensuring that they understand it. If your customer base is comprised of different language speakers, then you likely already tailor your email content to their language preferences. However, you can also translate the boilerplate language on the list subscribe pages and email confirmations to one of 34 different languages, as detailed below.

Translate Your List Pages

To translate a list’s boilerplate language, navigate to the Settings page for a given list.

Under Language, select the language that will be used for the boilerplate language. Click Update List Settings to save your changes.

Note that you can choose from any of the following languages:

  • Bulgarian
  • Chinese
  • Croatian
  • Czech
  • Danish
  • Dutch
  • English
  • Estonian
  • Finnish
  • French
  • German
  • German (informal)
  • Greek
  • Hindi
  • Hungarian
  • Icelandic
  • Indonesian
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Latvian
  • Lithuanian
  • Norwegian
  • Polish
  • Portuguese
  • Romanian
  • Russian
  • Slovenian
  • Spanish
  • Swedish
  • Thai
  • Turkish
  • Ukrainian
  • Vietnamese

Once you have saved your changes, test to confirm that the boilerplate text has been translated in that list’s pages and email confirmation (if double opt-in is enabled).
