Learn how to connect Wonderment and Customer Hub in order to display Wonderment shipment tracking data to customers. Customer Hub surfaces shipment tracking data from Shopify by default; once connected with Wonderment, shipment tracking details will come from Wonderment instead.

How Wonderment and Customer Hub work together

When a customer signs in to their account on your Shopify site and opens the Customer Hub drawer, they can review their recent orders on the Orders tab and click any order for more shipping details.

By default (Shopify):

  • Customers can see the order status, date the order was placed, and order number.
  • The “Track shipment” button links to Shopify’s tracking page.

When wonderment is enabled:

Customer Hub continues to show this information in the same layout, but now order details and shipment tracking are sourced from Wonderment with these enhancements:

  • The “Track shipment” button instead links to Wonderment’s tracking page.
  • An estimated delivery date is displayed (when available).
  • The shipment status progress bar is based on Wonderment’s shipping and delivery event data to display 1 of the following statuses:
    • Ordered
    • Shipped
    • Out for Delivery
    • Delivered

If an order is delayed, returned, or encounters an error, the progress bar is replaced with a descriptive status based on the Wonderment event tracked.

If Wonderment data isn't available for an order, Customer Hub will display tracking information directly from Shopify. This means any shipment tracking data Wonderment tracks that Shopify doesn't will not be surfaced.
