Learn how to set certain reviews to appear on multiple product pages. This is helpful when you sell multiple highly similar items in multiple styles.

If some of your products are highly similar, you may want to share reviews between them. For example, if you sell two t-shirts that are made of the same material and constructed the same way, but have different designs printed on them, it might be helpful for those two products to share reviews. When a customer reads reviews about a t-shirt, they are primarily interested in learning about the product’s comfort and fit, so the differing designs aren’t their primary focus. 

Reviews can be shared between two or more products, and you can have an unlimited number of groups that share reviews.

Sharing reviews between products is a 2-step process: 

  1. Apply a tag to all products that should share reviews in your ecommerce platform. 
  2. Create product groups in Klaviyo based on those tags.

To tell Klaviyo which products to group, create a tag and apply it to every product that should share reviews in your online store. You can create multiple groups, so use a unique tag for every group you plan to create.

  1. Navigate to the Reviews tab in Klaviyo. 
  2. Select Products.
  3. Choose the Groups tab.

  5. Under What products should go in this group?, choose the tag you just applied to your products.

A product can only be a part of one shared reviews group. If you create a new group that contains a product from an existing group, that product will be removed from the existing group and added to the new group.

If a group doesn't contain the products you expected, try resyncing the group. This allows Klaviyo Reviews to recheck and update the products in the group on demand. Click the refresh icon next to the Create group button to resync all groups, or click the additional options menu > Resync group to resync a single group.

If group membership changes (e.g., a group is deleted or a product is added to a group), those changes will be reflected in your onsite review widgets within a few minutes.

Once you create a group, navigate to the product page for one of the group items. In the reviews section, the reviews list will include reviews from all items in the group, and the star rating will be calculated based on reviews for all grouped items.
