If you use multiple Klaviyo accounts to manage multiple online stores, there may be instances in which you'd like to copy content over from one account to another. This is possible if you are utilizing the multi-account login feature. Now, you can clone both flow and email templates between accounts.
Klaviyo supports varying permissions for the same email address within separate accounts. For example, the same person could have Admin rights in one account, but simply be a Campaign Coordinator in another. Permissions will be carried over, so if you don't have the proper permissions to access the Flows or Email Templates tabs, you will not be able to copy over a flow or email template.
If you are a contractor or an agency, please ensure that you have permission from the account Owner to copy any flows or templates into a different account.
Copy a Flow from One Account to Another
To copy a flow from one account to another, navigate to the Flows tab and click the Edit Details dropdown to the right of the flow you would like to copy. Next, select Clone. A modal will appear prompting you to select two options:
- Destination Account: This is the account where the new flow will be copied to. This dropdown will display all the potential destination accounts for the flow. Please note that if you are an Analyst, Campaign Coordinator, or Content Creator in the destination account, you won't see the option to copy over the flow. If you want to clone the flow within the same account, simply select the account that you are currently working in.
- Trigger: Klaviyo will attempt auto-match the initial trigger to the corresponding trigger in the second account, but you can also configure this manually.
Optionally, you can also give the cloned flow a different name from the original. Changes made to the original flow will not be reflected in the copied flow once you have already created it. If you are working between accounts that have different branding, make sure to change the email templates in the copied flow before you set it live.
Copy an Email Template from One Account to Another
To copy an email template from one account to another, navigate to the Email Templates tab and click the Edit dropdown to the right of the template you would like to copy over. Next, click Clone.
Here, a modal will appear prompting you to optionally rename for the cloned template and select the Destination Account. This is the account where the new flow will be copied to. Please note that if you are an Analyst in the second account, you will not be able to copy the flow over because you won't have the proper permissions. If you want to clone the template within the same account, simply select the account that you are currently working in.
Changes made to the original email template will not be reflected in the copied template.
