You will learn
Learn about managing multiple accounts in Klaviyo.
How it works
Typically, Klaviyo works best as a 1:1 sync with your ecommerce store. Because of this, you may have multiple stores and thus, multiple Klaviyo accounts.
You can access multiple Klaviyo accounts using the same email address and password, making it easy to keep track of each account without having to log out and log back in using a separate email address. You will simply need to toggle between separate accounts.
Additionally, Klaviyo supports varying permissions for the same email address within separate accounts. For example, the same person could have Admin rights in one account, but be a Campaign Coordinator in another.
Only account Owners and Admins are able to add new users to an account and remove them when needed. Additionally, it's not possible to link separate login email addresses, so make sure that the email address you use is consistent throughout accounts.
If you have multiple Klaviyo accounts for different stores, check that you're in the correct account to prevent any data transfer from happening with other stores.
When updating your ecommerce site, only be logged into the associated Klaviyo account. If you are logged into a different Klaviyo account (e.g., a US Klaviyo account) while making changes to an ecommerce site (e.g., a Canadian Shopify store), those updates may sync by default.
Create multiple accounts with the same email address
- Navigate to Klaviyo.com.
- Click the Sign Up button at the top of the page.
- When you fill out the account signup form, use the same email address and password for all of your accounts, but use a different company name
- For example, let's say I have a business with both a US and a UK site.
- To create an account for my US store, I will fill out the signup form with the following details:
- For my UK store, I use the same email and password, but I changed the company name.
- To create an account for my US store, I will fill out the signup form with the following details:
- For example, let's say I have a business with both a US and a UK site.
After completing the setup wizard, you can access both of my accounts from the account dropdown.
When you log in with an email and password that is attached to multiple accounts, you will automatically log in to the most recent account you were previously in. If necessary, use the account dropdown to switch to the account you need.
Frequently asked questions
How can I make multiple accounts with the same account name?
When you create multiple accounts with the same email address, you have to initially create the accounts with separate account names. If you would like your accounts to have the same account name, you can change it later by navigating to your Account Settings and clicking Contact Information > Organization. Here, you can update your organization name.
How can I combine existing accounts?
If you currently use separate email addresses or aliases (e.g., example+1@gmail.com) to log into separate accounts, you will first need to make sure you're added as a new user with your primary address (e.g., example@gmail.com) to utilize this feature. Once added to a new account, you will receive an email with the subject line: Additional Klaviyo account access granted notifying you that you now have access to the new account.
How can I copy my flows and templates to my other accounts?
If you're connecting multiple accounts that represent different regions for the same store, you will likely want to copy your flows and/or email templates from one account to another in order to facilitate the setup process.
Why am I getting an error trying to create a second account?
If you receive the error: An account with this username already exists, make sure you're using the same email address and password to create your second (or third, etc.) account. You cannot create a separate account with the same email address but a different password.
