How to show product ratings in emails with a product block

Learn how to showcase product ratings in a product block within a campaign or flow email.

Showing the rating of your featured products in emails highlights product quality and customer satisfaction which can increase click-through rates and conversions.

Ratings will display as a star symbol with a number out of 5 next to it. The amount of reviews will appear in parentheses if this option is selected. The font style can be adjusted in the email template editor.

Before you begin

This option to show ratings within a product block is only available in accounts that use Klaviyo Reviews. Learn how to get started with Klaviyo Reviews.

Ratings in a product block vs a review quote block

Ratings within a product block allow you to show the average rating and amount of reviews for multiple products. This is different from showing a single product and specific text review using a review quote block. Learn how to feature reviews in emails with the review quote block.

Turn on ratings in a product block

1. Navigate to any email in Klaviyo (i.e., a flow email, draft campaign email, or email template). 
2. Drag and drop a product block into the template or click an existing product block.
• If you created a new product block, select either Dynamic or Static and choose a product feed or specific products respectively.
3. In the Product details section of the sidebar, check the box for Rating to show the star rating for each product in the block.
• Optional: Check the box for Number of ratings to show how many customers submitted a rating for the product.
  

Change the appearance of the ratings

After turning on ratings within a product block, you can change the following elements of the rating’s appearance:

• Font
• Size
• Color
• Letter spacing
• Top padding
• Bottom padding
• Styling (bold, italic, underline, strikethrough)

To modify the appearance of the rating:

1. Click on the product block.
2. In the sidebar, scroll down to the Text section.
3. Click Rating.
   
4. Change the appearance to however you’d like.
