Before you begin installing Klaviyo Reviews, make sure you meet the following criteria:
- Have an active Klaviyo account.
- Use Shopify or WooCommerce as your ecommerce platform.
- Understand that Klaviyo Reviews is billed separately from Klaviyo email and SMS, and is not included with your Klaviyo email or SMS plan.

Install Klaviyo Reviews for Shopify
To install the Klaviyo Reviews app on your Shopify store, first make sure you’re logged in to the correct Shopify store and Klaviyo account. Then, navigate to Klaviyo Reviews in the Shopify app store and install the app.
Install Klaviyo Reviews for WooCommerce
There are several ways to install Klaviyo Reviews on your WooCommerce store, depending on your store setup and level of technical expertise. Review your options and learn how to install Klaviyo Reviews for WooCommerce.

Reviews widgets allow you to display products’ star ratings, review summaries, and individual reviews on product pages and elsewhere on your site. You can fully customize the appearance and styles of these widgets, including fonts, colors, and more.
If you use WooCommerce, you'll install widgets in step 1 above.

3. Collect reviews using Klaviyo flows
Once you’ve installed Klaviyo Reviews on your store, use a Klaviyo flow to begin collecting reviews. A prebuilt review request flow is available in the flows library, titled Klaviyo Reviews: Review request.
As reviews are submitted, they will automatically appear on your product pages through the reviews widgets. Learn more about creating a review request flow.
Who can submit reviews?
Anyone can submit a review by visiting your website, navigating to a product page, and clicking Write a review. Reviews submitted through a Klaviyo Reviews flow are marked as verified reviews, as these use a unique link confirming the identity of the reviewer. Only verified reviews can include a rating (i.e., select between 1 and 5 stars) alone; unverified reviewers must include a text review in order to submit a product rating.

After someone submits a review, it’s important to follow up with a thank you message, and deliver on any incentive you offered. Search Review Follow-up in the flows library for a flow template.

If you used a different reviews platform before switching to Klaviyo Reviews, import those reviews into Klaviyo by navigating to the Reviews tab in Klaviyo, then selecting All reviews > Upload Reviews.

In addition to the key steps outlined above, consider expanding your reviews strategy with the following advanced steps:
- Select a Klaviyo Reviews plan by navigating to Reviews > Review settings > Billing and plans.
- Adjust your auto-publish settings.
- Sync your reviews to a Google Shopping feed.
- Add custom review questions for your reviewers to complete.
- Create shipping status flows.
- Create a customer service ticket when you receive a negative review.
- Feature reviews in key messages, like an abandoned cart flow or new collection announcement.
- Reply to reviews periodically.
Outcome
After following the steps outlined here, your customers will begin receiving review requests, leaving reviews, and receiving a reward (e.g., a discount code) for providing their feedback. Reviews will appear on your product pages, assisting shoppers in making purchase decisions.
