Only Owners or Admins can grant a Klaviyo representative permissions.

Find out what it means to grant permissions to your account, including how and when to do so. Granting permissions allows a Klaviyo representative to take actions in your account, which can be crucial to troubleshooting any issues you’re facing.

What granting permissions means

What granting permissions means

When you grant permissions, it allows a Klaviyo representative to manage, edit, troubleshoot and perform actions on your behalf.

However please note that:

  • There are certain actions Klaviyo cannot take, such as:
    • Upgrading or downgrading.
    • Importing data.
    • Changing users or resetting MFA.
    • Viewing integration information.
  • These settings only apply to actions within Klaviyo.
    • Granting access does not give a Klaviyo representative access to your ecommerce store or any other third-party software.
When to grant access

Generally, you’d want to grant permissions when you have an open question with a Klaviyo representative. Most often this is with the Klaviyo Support, but it could also be with Onboarding, Success, or another team.

Allowing Klaviyo to manage, edit, and troubleshoot isn’t required to get help; however, it streamlines the process of solving an issue.

For instance, while it’s possible to find an issue with a segment simply from looking at its conditions, it’s both easier and more reliable when Support can test directly in your account. This way, they have access to all of the same data and can test solutions until they know what works.

Without such access, it can be difficult to confirm the exact issue, especially if there’s any custom data in your account. This may lead to more back-and-forth communication or take longer to figure out a fix.
