Please note the following:

  • Several countries have laws against sending during quiet hours.
  • Quiet hours are only available for flows; however, you will get a warning if you attempt to send a campaign during quiet hours.
  • Klaviyo does not set quiet hours on a daily basis. Your chosen quiet hours will apply to all days of the week.
  • It’s recommended that you set up quiet hours so that flow messages are not sent between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. in your recipient’s local time (certain states may have stricter quiet hour rules).
    • If you send to recipients in Alaska or Hawaii, either use quiet hours by area code or adjust the hours so that you aren’t sending between 8 p.m. and 2 p.m. ET.

To adjust your account’s default Klaviyo SMS quiet hours:

  1. Navigate to your account name in the lower left-hand corner.

  3. Review the times listed for quiet hours.
The 2 times will represent the range that a message cannot be sent in the time zone being used. For example, you could adjust your quiet hours so that a message cannot be sent between 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time in the United States and Canada.
  4. Click the dropdown under Stop sending to change when quiet hours should start (i.e., what time the flow stops sending SMS).
