How to view coupon history

Learn how to view coupon history so you can track which codes have been used, expired, or are still active.

Find a code on an individual’s profile

If you want to know which code (and thus which coupon version) was sent to a subscriber:

1. Head to their profile in Klaviyo.
2. On the Details tab, scroll down until you see the Coupons section.
3. Review the subscriber's codes, their status, and expiration dates. Codes that expired more than 90 days ago and codes from deleted coupons are not shown.

View coupon history from the Coupons page

If you want an overview of a coupon’s history:

1. Navigate to Content > Coupons.
2. Select the tab for your coupon type, if shown. Find the coupon you want, then click the 3-dot dropdown on the right-hand side.
3. Select View History.

The history page shows the current coupon version, even if it has no codes assigned. It also shows previous versions that had assigned or sent codes when you replaced them. If you edited a coupon but then changed it again before assigning any codes, that intermediate version will not appear in the history.

The coupon history shows the following:

• Coupon definition or description, including discount and activation/expiration details for Shopify coupons. For Magento 1 and Magento 2 coupons, the page shows the Magento Rule ID instead.
• Start and end dates for each version of the coupon.
• Codes Sent count for each version. Codes marked as Used are not included in this count.

Coupon definitions for versions created before August 26, 2020 are not available because Klaviyo had not begun logging them. These versions can still appear in the history, with No description provided in place of the definition.

Export coupon history

Export the coupon history to review assigned codes and their status. Unassigned codes are not included.

1. Select the checkbox next to each coupon version you want to include, then click Export.
2. In the Export Coupon Report window, select Active and expired codes (the default), Active codes only, or Expired codes only.
3. Click Export Coupon Report. The CSV file downloads when the export is complete.
