Learn how to use Klaviyo’s global search functionality, including quick actions and keywords, to find what you need in the platform.

Types of quick actions

Types of quick actions

Quick actions are shortcuts within Klaviyo search that provide the ability to jump into different tools, actions, and sections within your account.

There are two types of quick actions:

  • Create actions
Actions that allow you to jump quickly to a Klaviyo section where you will be met with a task or editor. For example, clicking on Create list or segment will bring you the Lists & Segments section builder.
  • Navigational actions
Actions that allow you to jump quickly to a specific Klaviyo section or related search. For example, typing the word “Campaigns” brings up a shortcut to navigate to the Campaigns section and related areas of the platform to search for the term “campaigns.”
Using command+k (on a Mac) or control+k (on a PC) on your keyboard will automatically open the search bar on pages with the search field visible
Using create actions

Using create actions

By clicking on the search bar, you will see a list of create actions (e.g., Create flow) currently available.

If you choose any of these create actions, you will navigate directly to that area and action within Klaviyo.

Using navigational actions

Using navigational actions

By typing keywords into the search bar, you can navigate to a particular section or find suggested searches related to that query in other Klaviyo tools. For example, typing the word “Flows” will show you an option to head to the flows section at the top of the list, and flows-related searches in other parts of the platform. If you were to choose ‘flows’ in campaigns from this list, you’d see all campaigns that contain the word “flow” within any of their titles or related objects (e.g., connected profiles, lists, segments, etc. that contain the word “flows”).

You can also use any search term to see related content, sections, or tools. For example, if you are looking for your campaign entitled “Spring has sprung, sale event!” you could start typing this phrase and choose the option for ‘spring has sprung’ in campaigns from the list below.
