Your Klaviyo account should always accurately reflect your business’ industry and vertical. You can view and edit this information directly within your account page to ensure that this is the case. In this article, you will learn where in your account your industry and vertical is stored and how to update it to reflect your business goals.
Access Industry and Vertical
To access information around your industry and vertical, click the account dropdown in the upper right corner and select Account.
Next, select Contact Information from the main tab, and click Organization.
At the bottom of this page, there is a section dedicated to information around your industry and vertical.
To change the industry associated with your account, click into the dropdown under Industry and select one of the following options:
- Ecommerce, Apparel & Accessories
- Ecommerce, Automotive
- Ecommerce, Electronics Ecommerce, Food & Beverage
- Ecommerce, Hardware & Home Improvement
- Ecommerce, Health & Beauty
- Ecommerce, Home & Garden
- Ecommerce, Jewelry
- Ecommerce, Mass Merchant
- Ecommerce, Office Supplies
- Ecommerce, Specialty
- Ecommerce, Sporting Goods
- Ecommerce, Toys & Hobbies
- Events & Entertainment
- Software / SaaS
- Politics & Government
- Real Estate & Construction
You can only update your industry two times every 30 days.
Next, you can only select a vertical if you are within one of the following ecommerce industries:
- Apparel and accessories
- Health and beauty
- Home and garden
To change the vertical, select the dropdown under Vertical and choose one of the following options:
- For Ecommerce, Apparel & Accessories:
- Fast Fashion
- For Ecommerce, Health & Beauty:
- For Ecommerce, Home & Garden:
Once your industry and vertical are to your liking, save these changes by clicking Update Industry. A popup will appear. To confirm this change, select Update Industry again.
If updated successfully, a success banner will appear, as displayed in the image above.
