Understanding your portfolio settings
Only Portfolio Owners and Admins have access to the portfolio’s settings, except the Personal tab.
You will learn
Learn about the settings within a portfolio, including who can access them and what they affect.
The settings in your portfolio do not affect any linked account. If you change something within the portfolio, it only affects that portfolio. The only exception is the Personal tab, which is specific to each user and consistent across their accounts.
Portfolio settings
There are 4 settings tabs within the portfolio:
Personal
The Personal tab is specific to each portfolio user, and is consistent across every account this user is associated with. It is the only settings tab that all users can access and includes details about the user’s:
- Name
- Personal language
- Klaviyo password
If you change any of this personal information, it will change in every other account you have access to.
How do I change my name?
To change your name:
- Navigate to the Personal tab.
- In the Information section, edit either your first or last name.
- Click Save.
Portfolio
The Portfolio tab includes information about the portfolio itself as well as the brand it represents, including the:
- Portfolio name
- Business website (optional)
- Business address
- Default language (English or French). Note that if you change the language for your Portfolio, the change will apply immediately across you account, and all users will experience Klaviyo in the selected language.
API key
Here, you can view your public API key for the portfolio. This key currently can’t be used for any APIs; it is simply the ID for the portfolio. There are also no private API keys for portfolios.
For security reasons, do not share your public API key.
Security
The Security tab allows you to adjust both:
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Single sign-on (SSO) and systems for cross-domain identity management (SCIM)
MFA
You can turn on MFA for either:
- Yourself
- All users on the portfolio
This setting does not affect any Klaviyo account linked to the portfolio.
To turn this on, you can follow the same steps for enabling MFA in an account. The only difference is that you must be the portfolio Owner (not Admin).
SSO and SCIM
If you want to use SSO or SCIM to sign in to your portfolio, the Owner can set it up in the account. Note that turning on SSO in a portfolio affects all users in the account, and you must set up SSO before SCIM.
