Learn how to create a link in a Klaviyo email that allows recipients to create a draft email to you with a single click.

To link to an email address in a text block: 

  1. Highlight the text you’d like to add a link to 
  2. In the Link field, add the following: mailto:youremail@example.com 
  3. Replace youremail@example.com with the email address you’d like your recipients to write in to 

To link an email address in a button or image block: 

  1. Click into the block you’d like to add a link to
  2. In the URL or Link address field, add the following: mailto:youremail@example.com 
  3. Replace youremail@example.com with the email address you’d like your recipients to write in to

If you'd like to create a link which will automatically open someone's email client and populate the "To" field, set the link URL to mailto:youremail@example.com, replacing youremail@example.com with the email address you'd like to send to.

Add a link to an email address in an image or button block

To link an email address in a button or image block: 

  1. Click on your button or image block in the editor 
  2. In the Link URL field, add mailto:youremail@example.com 
  3. Replace youremail@example.com with the email address you’d like your recipients to write in to

Add a link to an email address in a text block

To link an email address in a text block:

  1. Highlight the text you’d like to link
  2. Click the link symbol
    In the link modal, Link Type Email is selected and an email address has been added
  3. In the Link modal, choose the Link Type E-mail
  4. Enter an email in the email field
    In the link modal, Link Type Email is selected and an email address has been added
  5. Optional: Add a default subject line and message body by filling in the Message Subject and Message Body fields
  6. Click OK
