You will learn

Learn what each section of the Klaviyo app's Settings page controls, including your store connection, sending domain, and the name and email your messages send from.

Store connection

Shows the store URL Klaviyo is connected to (set automatically at install, not editable) and whether the Klaviyo app embed is enabled in your theme, with a button to open the theme editor. The status refreshes when you return to the tab after making theme changes.

Sending domain

Shows the domain your emails send from and its status (for example Verified or Pending verification). New accounts send from Klaviyo's shared domain, which is already verified, so you can send immediately.

Email sender

Controls the default sender for everything you send:

  • From name: the display name recipients see. Defaults to your Shopify shop name.
  • From email: defaults to the store owner's Shopify login email.
  1. Edit either field.
  2. Click Save in the bar that appears. You'll see Settings saved.

Note: We recommend setting these before your first campaign. Individual emails can override the default in their editor, but most merchants set it once here.

Klaviyo branding

Emails and forms on the free plan include Powered by Klaviyo branding. This section shows its status and lets you start an upgrade to remove it. During guided setup, branding can't be removed yet; you can check Help me fix this when I'm done onboarding to be reminded afterward.
