Overview

PrestaShop syncs events from your ecommerce storefront to Klaviyo as metrics which can be viewed in the Analytics tab of your Klaviyo account. To view your PrestaShop event data, navigate to Analytics > Metrics and select PrestaShop from the dropdown menu. The tab will display only the events synced from PrestaShop, as indicated by the PrestaShop icon beside each metric.

The PrestaShop Metrics

Below is a list of all the metrics synced from PrestaShop. If you are interested, you can also view the raw metric data synced to Klaviyo for events.

We limit the number of unique metrics you can create to 200. When you approach this threshold, you will be alerted via a warning in Klaviyo and an email sent to the account Owner.

Viewed Product

Klaviyo logs this event when a customer views a product on your PrestaShop store. This is useful if you'd like to set up a Browse Abandonment flow or provide customers with personalized product recommendations based on product browsing data.

Active on Site

This event is created when a customer is active on your PrestaShop store.

Started Checkout

The “Started Checkout” metric is created when:

  • A customer logs into their account, adds something to their cart, navigates to the checkout page, adds personal information, and selects “Continue” to continue with checkout
  • Without logging in, or using guest checkout, a customer adds something to their cart, navigates to the checkout page, adds personal information, and selects “Continue” to continue with checkout

Klaviyo captures the value of a cart at the time of checkout, as well as other pertinent details of a customer's cart that you can leverage for personalized abandoned cart emails.

Cancelled Order

This event is created when an order status is changed to Cancelled in PrestaShop. The event includes all product information about the items purchased, including product names and images. You can filter and target Cancelled Order events based on the following criteria:

  • $value: The total value of the canceled order
  • Items: The names of the products in someone's order, e.g., Red T-shirt or Blue Pants
  • Collections: The complete set of collections that include a product in someone's order, e.g., t-shirts, men's, pants and sale
  • Item Count: The number of items in the order, e.g., 2
  • Discount Codes: Any discount or coupon codes someone used towards the order, e.g., SPRING2020
  • Total Discounts: The total amount of any coupons or discounts if someone used a code, e.g., 10.00

Fulfilled Order

This event is logged when an order status is changed to Fulfilled in PrestaShop. The event Klaviyo tracks includes all of the product information about the items someone purchased including product names, images, and variable product information so you can use that information in purchase follow-up emails. You can filter and target Fulfilled Order events based on the following criteria:

  • $value: The value of the order
  • ItemNames: The names of the products in someone's order, e.g., Red T-hirt or Blue Pants
  • IsDiscounted: Order has been discounted; boolean value, true or false
  • UsedCoupon: A coupon was used on the order, boolean value, true or false
  • ItemCategories: The categories to which the items in the cart belong
  • ShippingMethods: (if any)
  • Coupons: The name of the coupon used, if any, e.g., SPRING2020

Refunded Order

Logged when an order status is changed to Refunded in PrestaShop. Klaviyo only receives events from fully refunded orders. The event Klaviyo tracks includes all of the product information about the items someone purchased including product names, images, and variant information. You can filter and target Refunded Order events based on the following criteria:

  • $value: The total value of the refunded order
  • Items: The names of the products in someone's order, e.g., Red T-shirt or Blue Pants
  • Collections: The complete set of the collections of the products in someone's order, e.g., t-shirts, men's, pants and sale

  • Total Discounts: The total amount of any coupons or discounts if someone used a code, e.g., 10.00

Placed Order

This event is tracked when a user completes the checkout process and places an order with your PrestaShop store. Klaviyo records a Placed Order event when we sync an order with the status of processing.

The event Klaviyo tracks includes all product information captured by PrestaShop so that you can use this detailed data in purchase follow up emails. You can filter and target Placed Order events based on the following criteria:

  • $value: The value of the order
  • ItemNames: The names of the products in someone's order, e.g., Red T-shirt or Blue Pants
  • IsDiscounted: Order has been discounted; boolean value, true or false
  • UsedCoupon: A coupon was used on the order, boolean value, true or false
  • ItemCategories: The categories to which the items in the cart belong
  • ShippingMethods (if any)
  • Coupons (if any)

Ordered Product

This event is tracked once for every product a user orders when they place an order. For example, if a customer buys a t-shirt and a pair of jeans, one Placed Order event is tracked along with two Ordered Product events.

The event Klaviyo tracks includes detailed information about each product someone purchases. This is useful when creating behavioral segments based on product options and other detailed information that's not available in the Placed Order event. You can filter and target Ordered Product events based on the following criteria:

  • $value: Value of the item
  • ProductId: The custom ID of a product in your PrestaShop store, e.g., 1321
  • SKU: The SKU of the product in your store, e.g., REDSHIRT
  • Name: The name of a product in your store, e.g., Red T-shirt
  • Quantity: The quantity of the item ordered
  • Categories: List of categories

Frequency of PrestaShop Sync

Transactional data, such as Ordered Product, Refunded Order, Cancelled Order and Placed Order, will sync every 30 minutes. Events such as Started Checkout, Added to Cart, and Viewed Product will sync in real time.
