How to use the reports library
You will learn
Learn more about the Custom Reports Library and how to access it in Klaviyo. The Custom Reports Library is a repository of pre-built reports designed to answer the business questions that matter most to you. You can either browse all options or refine your search to access the report that fits your needs.
The Custom Reports library
You need permission to access the reports library and create reports. If Reports Library is disabled, ask an account owner or admin to check your permissions. You can save up to 500 custom reports per account. If you reach this limit, delete a report you no longer need before creating another.
1. To access the Custom Reports library, head to Analytics > Custom reports.
2. If your account has no reports, click Create custom report on the introductory page to open the reports library. Then continue to step 4.

3. If your account already has reports, you will see the main reports page. In the upper right-hand corner, click Reports Library to use a pre-built report. To build a report from scratch instead, click Create from scratch.

When browsing this library, you can refine your search by selecting common questions that apply to your use case.
These questions are bucketed into 3 categories:
- Message Performance
To hone in on how marketing messages perform in Klaviyo - Channel Performance
To focus on how specific channels (i.e., email or SMS) perform in Klaviyo - Business Performance
To view how specific business metrics and products perform
4. Review the questions in these categories. If a category is collapsed, click its name to expand it.
5. Then, click the checkbox next to any of the questions that apply to you and your use case for generating a report. This will refine your view so that only reports matching these questions will appear in your search.

6. When you see a report that suits your needs, click into that report to open its preview.
7. Review its Description and Common Questions. If a Data Required message appears, follow its guidance to resolve the missing or outdated data before continuing. The preview shows the template's preset configuration; you can customize the report after creating it.

After the report opens, you can use its preset results or customize it to better fit your specific needs. Edit the available metrics, groupings, filters, or timeframe, then click Save & Run Report to save your changes and generate updated results.
Reports with large amounts of data may take longer to compile and run. While results are being generated, you will see a loading indicator or message. Once the report is complete, click Export CSV to download the full results. Larger reports show only a summary in the preview.
Your report and its results are saved automatically. Return to the report via Analytics > Custom reports to review it or run it again. Export any results you want to keep.
