Use recurring tasks to get regular updates from Composer without asking the same question each time. Choose what you want to know and when you want it, then review the results in Composer.

Put routine reviews on a schedule

Start with something you already check regularly:

  • Weekly campaign recap: Review last week's email performance and identify what to investigate next.
  • Daily revenue summary: See yesterday's revenue by channel before planning your day.
  • Monthly flow review: Check your flows and get a list of improvements to consider.

Before scheduling, try the request in a conversation to check that Composer can produce the result you need. If it needs information from another app, connect that app first.

Ask Composer to set it up

Tell Composer what to do, how often to do it, and at what time. For example:

Every Monday at 9 AM Eastern, summarize email campaign performance for the previous Monday through Sunday. Include click rate, placed order rate, attributed revenue, and 3 things to investigate. Call the task “Weekly campaign recap.”

Answer any follow-up questions, then check the confirmed schedule and time zone. You can find the saved task under Customize > Scheduled.

Be specific about the result you want. “Review last week's email campaigns” is more useful than “Send me a report.” Use periods such as “yesterday” or “last week” so the dates move forward with each run.

Create it yourself

If you prefer to use the form:

  1. Open Customize > Scheduled and click New > New scheduled task.
  2. Add a Title and Instructions describing the work you want repeated.
  3. Choose Daily, Weekly, or Monthly, then set the day and time. Monthly dates range from 1 through 28. A blank form uses your browser's time zone.
  4. Review the schedule and click Save. The task is now active.

You can also select a task under Suggested tasks, adjust its instructions and schedule, and save it.

Read your results

Open a task under Customize > Scheduled, then select a run in its Run history to read the conversation. Review the findings and ask follow-up questions there.

To try the task before its next scheduled run, choose More actions > Run now. This adds a run without changing the regular schedule.

If a run is Awaiting input, open the conversation and provide what's missing. If it Failed, read the reason and any available conversation. When the same question comes up repeatedly, add the answer to the task's saved instructions so future runs have it.

Adjust or stop a task

Open the task to manage it:

  • Edit its instructions or schedule, then click Save.
  • Turn off the toggle to pause future runs. Turn it back on to resume.
  • Choose More actions > Delete to remove it permanently.
