Bringing your SMS subscribers into one segment is important to trigger flows, create campaigns, gather business insight. Let’s walk through how to create that segment.

Build an SMS subscribers segment

Build an SMS subscribers segment

  1. Navigate to Audience > Lists & segments.
  2. Click Create List/Segment > Segment.
  3. Name your segment.
  4. Add the following segment definition:
If someone can or cannot receive marketing > can receive > SMS marketing
New condition to identify profiles that are consented to SMS
  5. Save the segment.

You'll now have a segment of everyone who is currently opted in to SMS.

Using the segment in Klaviyo

Once you’re done creating that segment, you can target a signup form for when a subscribe is on your site. If you add the condition where someone has joined your SMS marketing in the last two weeks, you can display relevant, on-site information about your texting program or remind them of a deal that you may have sent to them.

You can also use this segment to send a campaign. For instance, you can tell your SMS subscribers about a flash sale.

Lastly, you can use this segment to gain business insight into how your SMS marketing is performing.
