Getting started with Klaviyo in Wix

You will learn

Learn how to set up Klaviyo directly inside your Wix dashboard. You can collect subscribers, send automated emails, and track the sales your marketing drives. You do not need to leave Wix.

Before you begin

Requirements:

• You must be the site owner of your Wix site, signed in with a verified email address. Contributors cannot complete setup inside Wix (see the note below).
• Your Wix site must be published.

Note: Do you already use Klaviyo? Use your existing account. Do not create a second account. On the welcome screen, select Connect Wix to your existing account. If you see Log in to Klaviyo, log in to your existing account to connect Wix. Follow any prompts to continue at klaviyo.com. If you already started setup and reopen the app, it takes you to an unfinished step or your dashboard.

Install the Klaviyo app

1. In the Wix App Market, search for Klaviyo and click Add to Site.
2. Approve the permissions Wix asks for. Klaviyo uses these to sync your contacts, orders, and store activity.
3. The app opens inside your Wix dashboard.

Create your account

1. On the welcome screen, check the email address for your new account. This is your Wix site owner email.
2. If Wix does not have complete business details for your site, fill in the form that appears. The form is prefilled with what Wix has. Company name, Street address, City, and Country are required.
3. Review Klaviyo's terms of service and privacy policy. The newsletter checkbox is optional. Click Create account to accept them. Klaviyo creates your account with your Wix details. These are your company name, your site's web address, and your Wix site owner email. The owner email is also the default sender address.

Note: Only the site owner with a verified email can create the account inside Wix. If you see Get Started in Klaviyo or Go to Klaviyo instead of Create account, click it to finish signup and connect your site at klaviyo.com. Contributors and owners whose Wix email is unverified use this route.

Complete guided setup

After your account is created, Klaviyo walks you through 3 steps that give your site a working marketing foundation:

1. Publish a sign-up form to start collecting subscribers. Edit your form, then click Use this form. Your site must be published before the form appears.
2. Set a welcome email live so new subscribers hear from you right away. Composer, the AI assistant in the app, drafts the email. Review the content and sender details, then click Turn on flow. To change the email first, click Edit email.
3. Set an abandoned checkout email live to recover shoppers who do not finish buying. Composer drafts the email. Review the content and sender details, then click Turn on flow.

See Understanding guided setup with Klaviyo in Wix for what each step creates. Klaviyo remembers completed steps. You can close the app and return to continue an unfinished step.

To leave a guided setup step for later, click Skip for now. To return from your dashboard, click Continue onboarding or select an unfinished item in the setup checklist.

Outcome

When setup finishes, review your sign-up form and automated messages on the dashboard. Check that each item you want to use is Live, and finish any skipped steps. As shoppers subscribe and buy, your dashboard fills in with results.
