How to verify that sign-up forms are enabled
You will learn
Learn how to verify that sign-up form functionality is enabled on your website. Enabling forms installs the onsite JavaScript that Klaviyo forms need to work. You must also publish your form and configure its display and targeting settings for it to appear to the intended visitors.
Verify that sign-up form functionality is enabled
To enable sign-up forms, your site needs Klaviyo’s onsite JavaScript, also called Klaviyo.js. Depending on your ecommerce platform, this is added through an app embed, a plugin or extension, an integration setting, or a manual installation.
For most major ecommerce platform integrations, the proper setting is checked by default when you integrate with Klaviyo. For some integrations, however, you may need to take an extra step to enable sign-up forms.
Find your integration below to verify that sign-up forms functionality is enabled on your site.
- Shopify
For Shopify, you’ll need to make sure Klaviyo’s app embed is enabled on your store’s current theme in order for sign-up forms to work. If you switch to a new theme, enable the app embed for that theme too. Learn more about Klaviyo’s app embed for Shopify. - WooCommerce

If you use a platform without a pre-built Klaviyo integration (a “custom integration”) you will need to manually install a piece of code called Klaviyo.js in order to enable sign-up forms. Navigate to our developer portal guide for manual installation for instructions.
For installation help in Klaviyo, go to Website > Sign-up forms and click Enable forms on website to open the setup guidance for your platform.
Please note that new sign-up forms will not render for browsers using Internet Explorer. Custom-built sign-up forms will continue to render for those using any type of web browser.
