How to organize campaigns with folders

Folders help you organize campaigns by brand, season, initiative, or any other grouping that matches how your team works. Use folders to keep the Campaigns list easier to browse, and tags to label campaigns across multiple categories. A campaign in a folder lives inside that folder, so the main Campaigns list stays short.
Before you begin
- You need permission to edit campaigns to create, rename, move or delete folders. Other users can open folders and view the campaigns inside them.
- A campaign can be in one folder at a time. Use tags when a campaign belongs in more than one group.
- You can nest folders up to 10 levels deep. Folder names can be up to 255 characters.
- Moving a campaign into a folder doesn't change its status, schedule, content or reporting.
- Campaign folders are separate from flow folders and template folders.
Organize campaigns with folders
- Navigate to the Campaigns tab.
- Select Create folder at the top of the Campaigns list.
- Enter a folder name, then select Create folder.
- Select the checkbox next to each campaign you want to move. You can select folders too.
- Select Move in the bulk action bar.
- Choose the destination folder from the Recent or All campaigns tab, or search for it, then select Move. If the folder doesn't exist yet, select Create folder in the dialog.
To create a nested folder, open an existing folder and select Create folder.
To move one campaign, open its row menu (...) and select Move to folder.
While a folder is part of your selection, only Move is available. Edit tags, Archive and Schedule are turned off until you deselect the folders.
Move a campaign out of a folder
- Open the folder that contains the campaign.
- Select the campaign, then select Move in the bulk action bar. You can also use Move to folder in the campaign's row menu.
- In the dialog, select the All campaigns tab, then select Move without opening a folder.
The campaign returns to the main Campaigns list.
Access existing folders
To find a campaign that has been moved into a folder:
- Navigate to the Campaigns tab.
- Open the folder containing the campaign.
- Open any nested folders until you reach the campaign.
- Use the breadcrumb at the top of the page (for example, All campaigns / BFCM 2026) to return to a parent folder.
Folders appear as rows at the top of the Campaigns list, with the number of items in each. To open a folder in a new browser tab, hold Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) and select its name.
Find a campaign
Search and filters always look across every folder. When you search or apply any filter, the list shows every matching campaign, wherever it is filed, and hides the folder rows.
After you create your first folder, a Type filter appears. Use it to switch views:
- Folders lists every folder at every level. You can search folders by name.
- Campaigns lists every campaign in one flat list, whatever folder it is in.
Rename, move or delete a folder
Open a folder's row menu (...) to open, rename, move or delete it.
- Rename changes the folder's name only. The campaigns inside it don't change.
- Move moves the folder, and everything in it, into another folder or to the top level.
- Delete removes an empty folder. If the folder contains campaigns or other folders, move or delete them first. Deleting a folder never deletes a campaign.
When you delete a campaign, it's removed from its folder.
Folders and tags
Folders and tags serve different purposes:
- Folders give a campaign one place to live within a hierarchy and reduce clutter in the list.
- Tags support cross-cutting groupings. The same tag can be applied to multiple campaigns, and campaigns can be organized using multiple tags.
For example, you can put a campaign in a seasonal-promotion folder and apply tags for its brand and audience. Use tags rather than trying to place the same campaign in multiple folders.
