How to sync Shopify segments to Klaviyo
Learn how to sync Shopify segments to Klaviyo. Shopify customers can sync segments built in Shopify to Klaviyo as lists. These lists:
- Reflect a point-in-time sync from Shopify to Klaviyo.
- Do not update as segment membership changes in Shopify, or if segments are deleted.
- Do not sync members from Klaviyo to Shopify.
Before you begin
Before you can sync segments from Shopify to Klaviyo, you’ll need to:
Segments sync to the Klaviyo account connected to your Shopify store. If your store is connected to multiple Klaviyo accounts, segments sync to the account associated with your Klaviyo app embed.
Sync a segment
To sync a segment from Shopify to Klaviyo:
- In your Shopify admin, navigate to Customers > Segments.
- Select the segment you want to use from the list.
- Click Use segment.
- Select Klaviyo.
- Review the pop-up that appears and click Create list.
- You’ll be redirected to the new list in Klaviyo. List membership may take some time to sync. The list name includes the import date and time.
Repeat the process above to sync additional segments or import updated membership for the same segment. Each import creates a new list and leaves previously imported lists unchanged.
