If you have a single Magento server that hosts more than one store, you have two options as you get setup with Klaviyo:
- Create Separate Klaviyo Accounts for Each Magento Store
Limiting a Magento integration by store can be done during the Setup Wizard if you're just getting started, or you can take advantage of this option when integrating within the app. When you integrate only a specific store with a given Klaviyo account, you will be able to manage this Magento store/brand completely independently and avoid any potential data cross-over issues.
- Sync All Store Data to a Single Klaviyo Account
This option requires you to then use Klaviyo's Segment Builder and flow filter capabilities to leverage data for each store separately.
NoteSince Klaviyo is not currently optimized to support multiple brands in a single account, we recommend using this method only for multiple languages of the same brand (e.g English and French stores) or if you have an online/offline store of the same brand.
Create Separate Klaviyo Accounts for Each Magento Store
When you integrate your Magento store for the first time, you can complete this process through Klaviyo's Setup Wizard, or through the integrations tab after you've navigated into your new Klaviyo account.
Regardless of whether you choose to integrate within the Wizard, or at a later point after you've begun to use the platform, as a first step you will be prompted to input your credentials in order to connect your store. Below, you will see an Advanced Options section that you can expand.
Within Advanced Options, you will see the following:
If you click to retrieve a list of all stores, Klaviyo will then populate a list of all stores associated with your Magento instance.
NoteYou must first have provided your Store URL and credentials in order for Klaviyo to pull this list of stores.
Choosing one or more stores here means that Klaviyo will exclusively sync customer and order data from these chosen stores.
If you prefer to sync all stores, you can click the blue hyperlinked text to return to a state where Klaviyo will automatically pull in customer and order data from all stores within your Magento instance. If a new store gets added in the future, data from that new store will also begin syncing into Klaviyo at this time.
Sync All Store Data to a Single Klaviyo Account
When you integrate a Magento server that has multiple stores on it to a single Klaviyo account, we will sync all profiles and order data from each store into this one account.
Additionally, we will sync Magento Store Name and Magento Website ID properties for each profile created to let you know which of your stores that profile comes from. You will then be able to configure our extension on a site-by-site level to pick which list to add subscribers to, and you can filter flows and segments using the Magento store name to separate flows between stores. As noted above, however, Klaviyo is not currently optimized to support more than one store in a single account. This means it is not possible to fully isolate each store's data within a single Klaviyo account.
Scope the Klaviyo Magento Extension to a Single Store View
When you install the Klaviyo Magento Extension, you will be able to enable it for a specific Configuration Scope. If configuring our extension on a site-by-site level, you need to change the extension options so that:
- The "Default Configuration Scope" is set to "Enabled -> No"
- The extension is enabled on a store or website level and you have added API Keys for each Klaviyo account to the appropriate scope.
