Integrate with Shopware

Overview

While Klaviyo does not have a built-in integration with Shopware, a plugin to integrate Shopware and Klaviyo has been built by a third-party developer and is available through the Shopware Store. This plugin is compatible with Shopware versions 5.0.0 – 5.2.9.

While we recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of this plugin with any questions regarding the integration, this guide will provide a brief overview of how to get started and leverage this plugin to integrate Shopware and Klaviyo.

Install the Klaviyo Plugin

The Klaviyo Plugin for Shopware can be purchased here.

To get started, download and install via the Shopware Plugin Manager. You will be prompted to enter in your Klaviyo API Key which can be found here.

The Shopware Metrics

The Klaviyo Plugin for Shopware leverages Klaviyo's JavaScript API. This plugin tracks the following activities for logged in customers and sends this data in real-time to Klaviyo:

Identify 

Shopware sends customer information to Klaviyo including email address, first name, and last name.

Viewed Product 

When a logged in customer views a product, Shopware sends Klaviyo a Viewed Product event that gets tracked to this customer's Klaviyo Profile. The event is sent along with the following details regarding the item viewed:

  • Product Title
  • Item ID
  • Product Categories
  • Image URL
  • Product URL
  • Brand
  • Product Price

Started Checkout

When a logged in customer starts the checkout process with at least one item in his/her cart, Shopware sends Klaviyo a Started Checkout event that gets tracked to this customer's Klaviyo Profile. If a customer is checking out as a guest, a Started Checkout event will be triggered when the guest shopper enters in his/her email address during the checkout process.

The Started Checkout event is tracked with the following details regarding the checkout:

  • Cart Value
  • Name of each item in the cart
  • SKU associated with each item in the cart
  • Quantity of each item in the cart
  • Price  of each item in the cart
  • Product URL associated with each item in the cart
  • Image URL associated with each item in the cart
  • Product Categories associated with each item in the cart

Purchased Items

When a customer places an order, Shopware sends Klaviyo a Purchased Items event that gets tracked to this customer's Klaviyo Profile. The event is sent along with the following details regarding the purchase:

  • Customer Properties
    • ​Email Address
    • First Name
    • Last Name
  • Order Details​
    • Total Value of the order
    • Product Categories associated with each item in the order
    • Image URL associated with each item in the order
    • Product URL associated with each item in the order
    • Price of each item in the order
    • Quantity of each item in the order
    • SKU associated with each item in the order
    • Name of each item in the order
