While Klaviyo does not have a built-in integration with ViralSweep, you can still integrate your ViralSweep account with Klaviyo. This is possible via an integration available through ViralSweep.
Before you get started, you must already have existing lists in your Klaviyo account that you are hoping to link up to ViralSweep.
The following instructions are taken in-part from ViralSweep's guide to integrating with Klaviyo.
Connect ViralSweep to Klaviyo
When setting up your sweepstakes, go to the Connect Email Service section and click on Klaviyo. Here, you will need to input your Klaviyo Private API Key. A Private API Key is different than your Public API Key you may be more familiar with. To find or generate a Private API Key, navigate to Account > Settings > API Keys.
After adding your Klaviyo Private API Key, click Connect.
Once you successfully input your credentials and click the Connect button, ViralSweeps will reveal your Klaviyo lists. Simply choose a list from the dropdown menu and click Connect.
Your sweepstakes should now be connected to your Klaviyo account, and ViralSweeps will send any names and email addresses right into this Klaviyo list.
These troubleshooting steps are taken directly from ViralSweeps:
If you have connected your sweepstakes to Klaviyo and email addresses are not being added to your list, these are the most common reasons as to why:
- Email already in Klaviyo list: The email address entered into the sweepstakes may already be in your Klaviyo list, so it will not be added again.
- Email already entered into ViralSweep: The email address entered into the sweepstakes has already been entered into the sweepstakes previously, so therefore it is not passed to Klaviyo. This can happen if you set up your Klaviyo integration after you have already entered the sweepstakes.
- User did not opt-in: The user did not click the link in their double opt-in confirmation email that was sent to them. If they don't click that link, they won't be added to your list.
- Delay in reporting: Klaviyo is having a delay in reporting. Try checking again in a few hours.
