What is the difference between the Subscribe via SMS button and a normal submit button on a form?

If you want to create a form for desktop to collect SMS numbers, you will need to use a phone number block and a standard Submit button.

The Subscribe via SMS button turns your form to a Mobile Only form, and when clicked, sends a text from the customer’s phone to your account using the set opt-in keyword JOIN.

Then, your account will respond with your opt-in message. By default, this will read “Send this text to subscribe to <organization_name>!”, but you can configure the message content. This field allows up to 160 GSM-7 characters (1 message) only. Special characters, including emojis, are not valid.

Once your subscriber completes this action, SMS consent will be added to their profile with the method Text. You will then be able to send SMS messages to this profile.
