Integrate with Amazon Marketplace

Overview

Amazon has strict guidelines about the types of emails you can send to buyers. Before integrating Klaviyo with Amazon Marketplace, review our guide on Amazon Marketplace and marketing emails.

After you enable this integration, we will sync the following data from Amazon Marketplace:

  • When an order is placed, and details about that order as well as all items in the order
  • When individual products as well as full orders are fulfilled

Klaviyo's integration leverages the Amazon MWS API. At this time, Klaviyo can only integrate with US Amazon Seller accounts. Also, in order to integrate, you must have an Amazon MWS-eligible seller account. To be eligible to use Amazon Marketplace Web Service (Amazon MWS), you must have at least one of the following Amazon accounts:

  • Non-individual Amazon seller
  • Amazon Payments
  • Amazon Fresh
  • Amazon Business
  • Amazon Prime Now

Add the Amazon Marketplace Integration

To add the Amazon Marketplace integration, navigate to your account's Integrations tab.

Clicking over to All Integrations, you will see all of the available integrations you can connect to your Klaviyo account. These integrations will be listed in alphabetical order, so you should find Amazon Marketplace near the top of the page. Jump there now!

After clicking to add the integration, you will be prompted to give Klaviyo access to your Amazon seller account. Our developer code for Amazon is: 1259-1778-0502.

After authorizing Klaviyo to access your Amazon seller account, enter your Seller/Merchant ID and Marketplace ID and then click Connect to Amazon Marketplace.746547

Understanding your Amazon Marketplace Data

Klaviyo will sync events around the following four metrics:

The Placed Order Metric

Klaviyo will sync a Placed Order event when an order is placed in Amazon.

By default, we will not sync an order that has one of the following statuses: Pending, Canceled, Unfulfillable

Along with the Placed Order metric, we receive the following data about the order:

  • Value: Total value of the order
  • Fulfillment Method: i.e. Amazon
  • Shipping Method: i.e. Second Day
  • Items: For each item, we receive details such as Name, Image, Price, SKU, ASIN, Name, Product Type, and Quantity
  • Seller Order ID
  • Amazon Order ID

The Ordered Product Metric

Klaviyo will sync a Placed Order event that represent a single order placed on your Amazon site. We will then sync an Ordered Product event for each individual item in the order. The Ordered Product event will contain more specific details about the purchased item.

Along with the Ordered Product metric, we receive the following data about the item:

  • Value: Value of the purchased product
  • ASIN: The Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) associated with the product
  • Fulfillment Method: i.e. Amazon
  • Shipping Method: i.e. Second Day
  • Name: Full name of the item
  • Image URL: Image URL for the item
  • Merchant SKU: Merchant SKU for the item
  • Product Group: Group as set in Amazon
  • Product Type: Type as set in Amazon

  • Amazon Order ID

The Fulfilled Product Metric

For each individual ordered product that gets fulfilled, Klaviyo will sync a Fulfilled Product event. Along with the Fulfilled Product metric, we receive the following data about the fulfilled item:

  • Value: Value of the purchased product
